Zerofootprint Energy is a renewable energy company. We specialize in making renewable energy systems financially accessible to builders.

Dr. Ron S. Dembo is currently the founder, president, and CEO of Zerofootprint (www.zerofootprint.net), an innovative start-up aimed at creating the world's largest market for sustainable commerce. Prior to this initiative, Ron founded Algorithmics Incorporated in 1989 and developed it, as President and CEO, into the largest enterprise risk management software company in the world. Ron has written and published over 60 technical papers on finance and mathematical optimization and holds a number of patents in computational finance. He has co-authored three books: Seeing Tomorrow; Mark-to-Future; and Upside/Downside. Ron is a member of the Board of Directors of the Fields Institute for Mathematics and the Board of Directors of Mount Sinai Hospital. He is also on the editorial board of the Journal of Risk Finance.

Peter Howard is an account executive for Zerofootprint Energy. He received a combined Honours B.Sc.degree in Marine Biology and Contemporary Studies from Halifax's Dalhousie University in 2001. Following his undergraduate degree, Peter worked in resource management with Alaska's fisheries industry and after continued this work as a watershed biologist in Toronto. In 2004, abandoning the traditional fields of biology and resource management, Peter enrolled in graduate studies at York University, where he completed a Master’s in Environmental Studies and a Diploma in Business and Environment. Peter's thesis examined the negative externalities of traditional economic growth and how conscious design could mitigate these effects. He graduated after studying ecological economics and sustainable business strategy.

Deborah Kaplan is the executive director of Zerofootprint (www.zerofootprint.net), an innovative not-for-profit that connects people who care about the environment worldwide. Deborah was the lead professional for cultural planning for the Tomorrow Campaign of the UJA Federation, helping to establish the new Koffler Centre of the Arts and the history and heritage components of the Campaign's Toronto-wide plan. Deborah was associate director of development and marketing communications for the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art. Deborah also founded Let's Sea Publishing, a division of Abarta MetroPublishing, which produces interactive books for leading brands in the travel industry used as marketing tools and revenue generators.
